Charon is the name under which Johan Feys started his career as a freelance translator / copywriter.
The German word for translator is ‘Übersetzer’, literally a ferryman. In Greek mythology, Charon was the ferryman who transferred the dead across the River Styx to the underworld.
Maybe a bit sinister as a starting point for choosing a name, but I wanted mainly to express the fact that I am helping to make and maintain a connection. The connection that you as a supplier or service provider want to make and maintain with your customer. And you want to do that in his own language, because that is the best way to reach him.
